Resolution of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) on the war in Ukraine and its economic, social and environmental impact
The #EUGreenDeal must be the cornerstone of the 2022 #WorkProgramme as an opportunity for the development of a sustainable & socially inclusive economy.
At its plenary session of 09 and 10 June 2021, the EESC adopted the following resolution by 175 votes with 2 abstentions.

The EESC has adopted a number of opinions, resolutions and declarations on the NextGenerationEU Recovery Plan and its various components, in particular the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). The Committee has expressed its agreement with its content and the direction of the reform proposals, which are intended to boost economic and social recovery and trigger a change in the production model.

The EESC adopted its contribution to the 2021 European Commission work programme on 16 July 2020, with a very broad consensus. The document links the priorities already identified in the EESC resolution on post-Covid 19 recovery and reconstruction with the six Headline ambitions defined by the EC President von der Leyen.
