Όταν οι ανώτεροι αξιωματούχοι αποχωρούν από την Ευρωπαϊκή Οικονομική και Κοινωνική Επιτροπή, δεν τους επιτρέπεται να συμμετάσχουν σε δραστηριότητες ομάδων πίεσης (lobbying) ή προώθησης συμφερόντων (advocacy) έναντι των πρώην συναδέλφων τους για περίοδο 12 μηνών. Η ΕΟΚΕ παρακολουθεί τις εξωτερικές δραστηριότητες των πρώην ανώτερων αξιωματούχων της και κάθε χρόνο δημοσιεύει έκθεση σχετικά με την παρακολούθηση αυτή.
