Pēc tam, kad augstākā līmeņa ierēdņi beidz dienestu Eiropas Ekonomikas un sociālo lietu komitejā, viņiem parasti nav atļauts turpmākos 12 mēnešus vērsties pie saviem bijušajiem kolēģiem, lai lobētu vai atbalstītu kāda intereses. EESK pārrauga savu bijušo augstākā līmeņa ierēdņu ārējo darbību un katru gadu publicē ziņojumu par šo jautājumu.
