Summary:

The next Swedish Presidency of the EU has requested an exploratory opinion to the EESC in the field of Transport. According to the new Presidency, it is necessary to speed up the transition to a long-term sustainable transport system for the EU to lead the way in the green transition. They would like to see in our opinion the answer for the following questions: What do the needs of users and citizens look like today and forward to 2050? How can these needs be met in order to speed up the green transition in the transport sector?
