Οι δραστηριότητες της ΕΟΚΕ σχετικά με τους γείτονες της ανατολικής Ευρώπης περιλαμβάνουν την Αρμενία, το Αζερμπαϊτζάν, τη Λευκορωσία, τη Γεωργία, τη Μολδαβία και την Ουκρανία. Κύριος στόχος της ΕΟΚΕ όσον αφορά τους ευρωπαίους γείτονες προς ανατολάς είναι η ενίσχυση των σχέσεων με τις οργανώσεις της κοινωνίας πολιτών στην περιοχή και η συμμετοχή τους σε διάλογο τόσο με τους υπεύθυνους χάραξης πολιτικής στη χώρα τους όσο και με την οργανωμένη κοινωνία πολιτών της ΕΕ.

Οι κύριοι μηχανισμοί συνεργασίας με τη Γεωργία, τη Μολδαβία και την Ουκρανία είναι οι Πλατφόρμες της κοινωνίας πολιτών που συμπληρώνουν τα πολιτικά όργανα που υφίστανται στο πλαίσιο των Συμφωνιών Σύνδεσης της ΕΕ με αυτές τις χώρες. Οι Πλατφόρμες επιτρέπουν στις οργανώσεις της κοινωνίας πολιτών από την ΕΕ και την εταίρο χώρα να παρακολουθούν τη διαδικασία υλοποίησης και να ετοιμάζουν συστάσεις προς τις αρμόδιες αρχές.

Από την πλευρά της ΕΕ, αυτές οι πλατφόρμες περιλαμβάνουν μέλη της ΕΟΚΕ καθώς και εκπροσώπους από μεγάλα δίκτυα της ευρωπαϊκής κοινωνίας πολιτών. Από την πλευρά της χώρας εταίρου, εκπροσωπούν ευρύ φάσμα οργανώσεων της κοινωνίας πολιτών. Η σύνθεση των Πλατφορμών βασίζεται σε ισορροπημένη εκπροσώπηση όλων των ομάδων συμφερόντων (εργοδοτικές οργανώσεις, συνδικάτα και ομάδες διαφόρων δραστηριοτήτων).

Εντός της ΕΕ, η επιτροπή παρακολούθησης «Ανατολική Γειτονία» συστάθηκε το 2004 ως ειδικό όργανο της ΕΟΚΕ αρμόδιο για τις σχέσεις με την κοινωνία πολιτών στις χώρες της Ανατολικής Γειτονίας. Η επιτροπή παρακολούθησης συνεδριάζει συνήθως τέσσερις φορές το χρόνο και τα μέλη της συμμετέχουν ενεργά στις δραστηριότητες της Ανατολικής Εταιρικής Σχέσης, όπως οι πολυμερείς πλατφόρμες ΑΕΣ και το Φόρουμ της κοινωνίας πολιτών της ΑΕΣ.

  • 14th meeting of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform

    The 14th meeting of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform (CSP) took place on 15 December 2023. During the meeting, a debate focused on assessing the implementation of the European Commission's opinion and the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

    In addition, the CSP discussed the initiatives for Ukraine's green recovery, economic integration of Ukraine to the EU, as well as current challenges related to labour market.

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, was discussed and adopted.

  • 11th meeting of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform

    The 11th meeting of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform took place on 20 April 2022. During the meeting, an exchange between authorities and members of the civil society platform was held with special focus on the unprovoked and unilateral armed aggression initiated by the Russian Federation against Ukraine on its independent and sovereign territory. A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, was discussed and adopted.

During the meeting, a debate focused on assessing the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement. The social dialogue and prospects for the future in Moldova were also discussed as well as the minimum wage mechanism.
