Chaith mé go leor ama ag obair le David Gippini; go háirithe d’oibríomar ar roinnt agallaimh phreasa le chéile. Nuair casadh David orm in 2018, chonacthas dom gur dhuine dáiríre é. Aon obair a leagadh sé a lámh uirthi, bhíodh sí oiriúnach agus an-tomhaiste i gcónaí. Ba dhuine géarchúiseach beo-intinneach é, ina theannta sin. Gan cúrsaí oibre a bhacadh, fuair mé gur dhuine oscailte é a bhí fial faoina chuid ama, a raibh iarracht d’íoróin na nGailíseach ann, agus dar liom gur thuigeamar a chéile go feillbhinn. D’éiríodh eadrainn ar uaire, mar is nós le cairde a dhéanamh; táimse go mór i bhfách leis an teanga chuimsitheach; tá David níos acadúla, áfach, agus ní thaitníodh sé leis dánaíocht áirithe, mar a mheas sé, a bheith á déanamh ar an teanga. Labhraímis faoin ábhar sin go minic agus bhíodh comhráite fada saibhre againn le chéile, a thugadh ár ndúshlán. Tá mo bhuíochas ag dul dó óir bhíodh cuma chríochnúil chanta ar mo shaotharsa i gcónaí dá bharr.
Is oth liom go bhfuil sé ag imeacht uainn agus guím gach rath air sa chéad chéim eile den chonair atá amach roimhe. Is cinnte liom go mothóidh muintir an Aonaid Preasa uathu go mór é. Agus mothóidh mise uaim é chomh maith.
