The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

Teko nemažai laiko dirbti su Davidu Gippini, jo padedama spaudai esu parengusi ne vieną interviu. Kai 2018 m. susipažinome, jis man pasirodė labai rimtas. Davido indėlis visada buvo vertingas ir labai gerai apgalvotas. Patiko jo gebėjimas greitai mąstyti. Jį pažinau ne tik kaip kolegą, bet ir kaip nuoširdų ir savo laiko kitiems negailintį žmogų, turintį sveikos galisiškos ironijos. Manau, kad mes gerai vienas kitą supratome. Žinoma, turėjome ir mažų draugiškų „nesutarimų“. Aš esu įtraukaus diskurso šalininkė, o David labiau laikėsi akademinio požiūrio ir nepritardavo kai kurioms laisvesnės raiškos formoms. Dažnai apie tai diskutuodavome nesibaigiančiuose, turtinguose ir atviruose pokalbiuose. Turiu jam padėkoti už pasiūlytas taiklias pastabas ir gražias mintis rengiant daugelį mano tekstų.
Nors ir liūdna atsisveikinti su Davidu, linkiu jam didelės sėkmės naujajame etape. Neabejoju, kad Spaudos skyriaus darbuotojai jo labai pasiges. Aš taip pat.
