The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions, evaluation and information reports a year.

EHSV prijal na svojom plenárnom zasadnutí 24. februára stanovisko k oznámeniu Komisie, v ktorom načrtol svoje návrhy na reformu rámca správy hospodárskych záležitostí. Potrebná je rýchla dohoda, ale plán nie je dosť podrobný, zdôrazňuje EHSV.
Od podpísania Maastrichtskej zmluvy v roku 1992 pomáha rámec správy hospodárskych záležitostí EÚ vytvárať podmienky vedúce k hospodárskej stabilite, rastu a vyššej zamestnanosti v Európe. Tento rámec sa postupne vyvíjal, no stával sa aj čoraz komplexnejším a nie všetky jeho nástroje a postupy obstáli v skúške času.
Hoci EHSV súhlasí s názorom, že je potrebné rýchlo dosiahnuť dohodu pred tým, než členské štáty začnú rozpočtové procesy na rok 2024, zdôrazňuje tiež, že mnohé detaily ešte nie sú dotiahnuté do konca. Navrhnuté fiškálno-štrukturálne plány musia zabezpečovať, aby pomery dlhu k HDP začali klesať alebo zostali na obozretných úrovniach. Pravidlá musia zároveň ponechať vo fiškálnej oblasti dostatočný priestor na investície do zelenej a digitálnej transformácie. Kľúčom k úspechu reformovaného rámca je predovšetkým zvýšená zodpovednosť za uplatňovanie pravidiel.
„Je naliehavé zreformovať fiškálny rámec. Mnohé členské štáty nekonsolidovali dostatočne svoje verejné financie v hospodársky priaznivých obdobiach,“ uviedol spravodajca EHSV Krister Andersson. „Keď sa politiky neriadia obozretnosťou, poškodzuje to najzraniteľnejšie osoby v spoločnosti. Najdôležitejšie je znížiť úrovne dlhu a dosiahnuť v tejto súvislosti udržateľnosť. Súhlasíme s názorom, že je potrebné rýchlo dosiahnuť dohodu, skôr než členské štáty začnú rozpočtové procesy na rok 2024.“ (tk)
