CARIFORUM-EU Consultative Committee - 7th meeting

The CARIFORUM-EU Consultative Committee (CC) was established with the task and responsibility of promoting dialogue and cooperation among delegates from civil society organizations, including the academic community, and social and economic partners. The dialogue is designed to encompass all economic, social and environmental dimensions within the context of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between the Parties, as they pertain to the EPA's implementation.

On the agenda of the 7th meeting:

  • Post-Cotonou with a focus on CARIFORUM (Samoa Agreement)
  • Bridgetown Initiative for the reform of the global financial architecture
  • Impact of recent EU initiatives on trade between CARIFORUM and the EU
  • Report on the social, labour and environmental implications of the CARIFORUM-EU EPA
