13th meeting of the EU-Serbia Civil Society Joint Consultative Committee

The EU-Serbia Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) held its 13th meeting on 25 March 2022 in Brussels at the EESC. It is a platform established within the institutional framework of the EU‑Serbia Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), enabling representatives of both the EU and the Serbian civil society to monitor the country's accession negotiations, discuss issues of common interest and point out concerns to be tackled on the Serbian path towards the European Union.

Besides the current state of play in EU-Serbia relations and the accession process, main topics of the 13th JCC meeting were:

  • Discussion on effects of Joint Declaration from the 12th Serbia-EU Joint Consultative Committee meeting in view of the upcoming elections in Serbia
  • Serbian Perspectives of the EU Global Gateway strategy
  • Overview of the rule of law situation in Serbia

A common declaration of the JCC was issued after the meeting.
