CCMI Delegates
Internal rules of the Civil Society Organisations’ Group of the EESC on the selection of delegates for the CCMI based on common custom and practice to date
- A selection panel of members of the Civil Society Organisations’ Group is set up in order to evaluate and decide on the 17 CCMI delegates to be appointed by the Civil Society Organisations’ Group for the next five-year period (for the selection criteria please see below);
- Letters signed by the President of the Civil Society Organisations’ Group are sent to the outgoing CCMI delegates, asking if they would like to continue as CCMI delegates;
- Letters are also sent to networks of European civil society organisations (CSOs) close to the Group, asking if they would like to nominate a CCMI delegate;
- In parallel, letters are addressed to individuals (usually former members of the Civil Society Organisations’ Group), who have already expressed an interest in becoming delegates to the CCMI;
- In all cases, the applications must be accompanied by the CV of the individual and by letters of support from the organisations proposing them;
- The selection committee meets and agrees on a list of 17 proposed delegates, which is subsequently approved by the Presidency of the Group, the Bureau of the Group and lastly, the Bureau of the EESC.
