EU Member State responsible for her nomination as EESC member:

Denmark

Nomination as representative of:

The Women’s Council in Denmark

Educational background and professional experience:

I hold an MSc in Engineering and an MBA in Marketing and Management. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in industry, entrepreneurship and civil society, I have a lot of knowledge in the area of innovation, digitalisation, visualisation, AI and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in general.

Alongside my role in the Women’s Council, I serve as the president of Female Entrepreneurs in Denmark and chair of the Copenhagen Region at The Danish Society of Engineers (IDA), where I lead on diversity and inclusion. I served for six years on the Board of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and six years on the board of IDA. This reflects my commitment to technology, business and equality.

My work at the EESC has spanned democracy, labour rights, social protection, entrepreneurship, energy and external relations, reflecting a broad and versatile profile. I am recognised for collaborative leadership, building consensus and advancing equality and inclusion – core principles that strengthen civil society.

Motivation for the Vice-Presidency:

It is an honour to serve as Vice-President of the Civil Society Organisations' Group at the start of the new mandate. I see this role as an opportunity to strengthen civil society’s voice in shaping a more resilient, democratic and inclusive Europe. My motivation is to ensure that all perspectives – social, environmental and economic – are not only heard but actively woven into EU decision-making. I believe in leadership based on collaboration, transparency and respect, bringing both fresh energy and deep commitment to our shared work. In a time of digital, green and geopolitical transitions, the Civil Society Organisations' Group plays a vital role as the living heartbeat of the EESC. My aim is to build bridges, promote equality as a fundamental value and foster trust and unity across diverse organisations. I am motivated by the belief that no one should be left behind, and that, together, civil society can make the EU stronger, fairer and more human.
