Circular economy strategies have been under development in European cities, regions, and countries in the last few years. In the evolving context of the transition to a circular economy, strategies are valuable endeavours which draw attention to the topic, kickstart initiatives and bring stakeholders together. This publication is the executive summary of the study reviewing existing circular economy strategies across Europe, highlighting the different degrees of inclusiveness in terms of consultation.

This new edition of the European Cycling Lexicon was prepared by the EESC's Section for Transport, Energy, Infrastructure and the Information Society (TEN) in collaboration with the European Cyclists' Federation to respond to the strong demand from citizens, organizations and public authorities. The lexicon is indispensable for anyone who wishes to cycle in another European country and beyond. It raises awareness among citizens and at different levels of governance, about the many advantages of cycling and the need for good cycling infrastructure.
On 21 and 22 March 2019, 102 students and 36 teachers from all 28 EU Member States and the five EU candidate countries and from one Brussels-based European School, accompanied by three participants from previous YEYS events, met at the EESC in Brussels for Your Europe, Your Say! 2019.
This year, the title of the EESC's youth event was "YEYS turns 10: Vote for the future!", referring to the European elections on 23-26 May and to the fact that this year marks the event's tenth anniversary since it began in 2010.

In recent years, the EESC has produced a substantial number of opinions concerning the fast development of information and digital technologies showing how involved organised civil society is in this "revolution". We firmly believe that the digital revolution needs to benefit and include all people, especially vulnerable people, while striving to eliminate existing digital divides and prevent further disparities emerging in this area.

To this end, The Committee calls for a new strategy based on a global, cross-sectoral approach focusing on the needs of the citizens with the primary goal of sustainability.
This document is the political declaration of the Employers' Group before the European elections. The declaration calls for an open economy – with open markets and fair competition. An open economy must be accompanied by an open society that relies on dialogue and good governance. Europe needs enabling and encouraging policies that stimulate creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. The Group issued the declaration to be vocal about employers' support for the EU.
Climate change is one of today’s biggest threats and requires efforts by all actors in the economy and society. Combating climate change needs a global commitment to achieve real impact. Businesses have great potential to provide climate solutions, be they technologies, products, services or expertise.
