I dtuairim a d’eisigh sé le déanaí, tá sé á áitiú ag CESE nach mór dlús suntasach a chur leis an aistriú chuig an Aontas Fuinnimh ar mhaithe leis na cuspóirí fuinnimh agus aeráide atá ag an Aontas do 2050 a bhaint amach, ach mar sin féin, go bhféadfadh impleachtaí díobhálacha a bheith ann mura dtabharfar aird ar an staid shóisialta agus eacnamaíoch sna Ballstáit ar leith.
Tá sé á chur i bhfáth ag CESE go bhféadfadh sé nach nglacfaí go sóisialta leis na hinfheistíochtaí agus na hathchóirithe arb é is aidhm dóibh dlús a chur leis an aistriú fuinnimh mura dtabharfar a dhóthain airde ar na dálaí sóisialta agus eacnamaíochta sna Ballstáit éagsúla.
Sa tuairim a dhréachtaigh Lutz Ribbe agus a glacadh sa seisiún iomlánach i mí Márta, chuir CESE a sheasamh in iúl maidir le tuarascáil 2020 ar staid an Aontais Fuinnimh agus maidir leis an measúnú ar na pleananna náisiúnta fuinnimh agus aeráide, agus é á rá aige nár cheart go ligfí na maidí le sruth tar éis ghnóthú, den chuid is mó, na gcuspóirí aeráide do 2020.
Ní mór na cuspóirí don chéad 30 bliain eile, tréimhse a thosaíonn sna 2020idí, a bheith i bhfad níos uaillmhianaí agus ní mór muintir na hEorpa a chur, i ndáiríre, i gcroílár an Aontais Fuinnimh.
Seo mar a labhair an tUas. Ribbe: “Cuirfear an t-aistriú fuinnimh i mbaol má gheallann na polaiteoirí go mbeidh codanna móra den tsochaí rannpháirteach ann, nuair nach bhfuil siad dáiríre faoin ngealltanas sin i bhfírinne agus nach gcuireann siad i bhfeidhm é.” (mp)
