Le Grúpa na bhFostóirí in CESE
Le linn an tseisiúin iomlánaigh i mí Iúil glacadh tuairim féintionscnaimh maidir le bearta coimirce a thabhairt isteach do tháirgí talmhaíochta i gcomhaontuithe trádála an Aontais.
Agus athbhreithniú an Choimisiúin Eorpaigh ar bheartas trádála na hEorpa chugainn gan mhoill, leagadh béim sa tuairim seo ar thábhacht gheostraitéiseach tháirgeadh an bhia agus ar an ngá atá le hacmhainneacht táirgeachta gach tíre a chosaint, trí bheartais talmhaíochta agus trádála, atá oiriúnaithe chun na críche sin, a chur chun cinn, agus trádáil idirnáisiúnta eagraithe á háirithiú ag an am céanna chun déileáil le luaineachtaí táirgthe agus leis na heasnaimh shíoraí i limistéir gheografacha áirithe.
Dar leis an rapóirtéir, Arnold Puech d’Alissac, comhalta de Ghrúpa Fostóirí CESE, "de thoradh fhás an chumais TF sa lá atá inniu ann is féidir bearta i bhfad níos éifeachtaí a chur i bhfeidhm anois. D’fhéadfadh na bearta sin a bheith tapa, uathoibríoch, comhréireach agus uileghabhálach, rud a chinnteodh go mbeadh ról acu i dtaca le hearnálacha a chosaint, ó tháirgeoirí go tomhaltóirí."
Ina theannta sin, chuir an rapóirtéir in iúl go láidir "gur deis atá ann freisin chun a cheart a thabhairt do choincheap na hinbhuanaitheachta sa chaibidlíocht trádála, ionas nach dtabharfar tosaíocht d’allmhairí saora faoi choinníollacha táirgthe nach bhfuil inbhuanaithe go leor, in ionad tús áite a thabhairt do tháirgí Eorpacha. I bhfianaise an Chomhaontaithe Ghlais, tá sé ríthábhachtach go mbeadh comhleanúnachas idir na beartais chomhshaoil, na beartais talmhaíochta agus na beartais trádála."
