    Problems that lead to the introduction of Self/Co-Regulation and the adoption of the Founding Act
    A concern that Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine should be practised at the highest level to ensure safe and optimum diagnosis, treatment and management of patients within the healthcare system. A concern for valid evidence, which should ensure that research and clinical activities are carried out in keeping with the highest standards of scientific integrity.

    All applicants applying to join the Register must submit a copy of their Curriculum Vitae, be on their National professional register (if available) and sign a declaration agreeing to abide by the Code of Conduct. Applications must be approved by the relevant National Clinical Chemistry Register Committee and by the EC4 Register Commission.
