The exhibition "The EU speaks your language" moves to the Council of the EU (LEX building).

"The EU speaks your language" was produced by the EESC in house, in cooperation with the Directorate for Translation of the EESC/CoR and was launched in September 2018 to mark the 60th anniversary of Regulation 1/1958 entering into force.

The exhibition travels back in time to 1958, to the first legal act of the EEC/EU, to highlight the historical significance of Regulation 1/58 whilst featuring a modern approach to that which it symbolises at its core.

The aim of this study for the Workers’ Group of the European Economic and Social Committee is twofold: a) to analyze concrete proposals aiming at integrating the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) into EU policies;

Staying creative after retirement

Two exhibitions will be on display simultaneously, one to present the artwork (paintings and drawings) of Eva Nevická from Slovakia, who gives meaning to the years that follow retirement through creativity, and a second one, a touring temporary exhibition, entitled "What's Old Anyway?", organised by the German Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.

The idea for such a cultural event has been developed around the concept of lifelong learning, inspired by the thinking that older people can instil good examples in future generations: an opportunity for inspiration based on people who never quit life and are drawn into creativity, even after their working lives/labour market productive years have come to an end.
