  • This conference brings together representatives from the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), and youth councils and other organisations across the Western Balkans and the European Union to examine the pivotal role of young people in EU accession negotiations.

  • The 18th meeting of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform (CSP) took place on 11 December 2025. During the meeting, the CSP members exchanged with the EU and Ukrainian authorities on the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and on Ukraine's progress on its EU accession path.

    Highlights from the agenda: Preparedness and defence, coordinated collective bargaining, Arctic geopolitical developments, EEA EFTA participation in EU programmes, vocational education and training in Denmark

  • Following the adoption of the European Water Resilience Strategy, the first Water Resilience Forum will bring together policymakers, scientists, industry leaders, and civil society to chart the path toward a water-resilient EU by 2050.

  • The 16th meeting of the EU Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) under CETA, and the first of the 2025–2028 term, took place on 4 December 2025.

    During the meeting, the EU DAG elected its presidency for the new term and held a tour de table, allowing members to introduce themselves, their organisations, and share their priorities for the DAG’s work in the coming years.

    Domestic Advisory Groups of the EU and three Andean countries – Colombia, Peru and Ecuador – held their 11th Joint Meeting and Workshop on 2-3 December 2025 in Lima. The discussions focused on future priorities for cooperation, the role of civil society in monitoring and advancing Trade and Sustainable Development commitments, and key thematic areas such as labour rights, environmental challenges, and EU supply-chain sustainability regulations.

    The European Consumer Day is an annual event organised since 1999, which gives consumers a forum to discuss topical policy developments. Following-up to the highly acclaimed EESC opinion "Call for fair competition with regard to 3rd country platforms" adopted in September 2025, the topic of this year’s edition of the European Consumer Day was challenges related to e-commerce from third-country platforms seen from a broader economic and social perspective. The objective was to discuss potential far-reaching impact of the platforms' expansion on the EU economy and society as such and bring on board actors from all walks of life to advocate for a common cause. 

  • The EU-Serbia Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) held its 20th meeting on 28 November 2025 in Serbia. This platform, established within the institutional framework of the EU-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), will enable representatives from both the EU and Serbian civil society to monitor the country's accession negotiations, discuss issues of common interest, and highlight concerns to be addressed on Serbia's path towards the European Union.
