“Although the action was organized by an important trade union structure, CSN Meridian, the topic under analysis was not dedicated only to employees, but to all representatives of Romanian society, including employer structures. (…) This time the candidates refrained from launching party ideologies, and largely expressed their vision, based on practice in European institutions and beyond, for the promotion and support of national interests in the mentioned fields. Mining, Rail Transport, Payroll, Public Administration, Pension System were among the main topics discussed, and the candidates wanted to demonstrate that they are on their agenda in the upcoming European Parliament.”

The aim of the event is to deepen the dialogue and increase voting participation in the upcoming European elections in June 2024.
It is part of the "WeEP24", a series of events which take place against the background of important European challenges, marked by economic crises and the lasting impact of global events. These meetings address the essential role of the EU in these times of crisis and the need to invest in resilient public services with a strong European dimension.

- Opportunities, risks and challenges of the European elections 2024
- The impact of European legislation at the national level
- Discussions on electoral trends as presented in the Eurobarometer
- The importance of robust participation in the democratic process
