The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

V rubrike „Predstavte si Ukrajinu“ uverejňujeme fotografie zobrazujúce vojnu na Ukrajine a jej následky. Tieto svedectvá často prinášajú novinári, pretože práve oni sa dostanú tam, kam my nemôžeme ísť, a zaznamenávajú stopy po vojne, aby neupadli do zabudnutia.
Predstavujeme Vám fotografiu Olhy Čajkovej, ukrajinskej novinárky zo spravodajského programu „Fakty“ v Kyjeve, ku ktorej sama doplnila komentár: „Táto fotografia je z letiska Hostomeľ, na ktorom pristáli ruskí sabotéri, a je na nej zničený hangár, v ktorom stojí legendárne najväčšie lietadlo na svete, Marija. Rusi ho zničili, rovnako ako aj jedno z najväčších lietadiel Ruslan.“ Tento výjav priamo na mieste zachytil a zvečnil ako spomienku kameraman televízie Fakty Viktor Zelenkov.
