Report on the country visit in Hungary, 29-30 April 2019

Six members took part in the country visit to Hungary.

The delegation met with several representatives of civil society, including Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), social partners, the media, and the legal profession on the one hand, and the Hungarian authorities on the other one.

This report is part of the synthesis report 'Fundamental rights and the rule of law – National developments from a civil society perspective, 2018-2019', which proposes a summary of the work of the EESC Fundamental Rights and Rule of Law (FRRL) Group covering its first two years of activity (2018-2019). The synthesis report covers the seven initial country visits led by the FRRL Group to Romania, Poland, Hungary, Austria, France, Bulgaria and Italy.

The aim of this report is to faithfully reflect the views of civil society.
