Background
In line with the Commission’s cross-cutting priority to reduce administrative burdens and streamline reporting obligations, the EESC is invited to deliver an exploratory opinion identifying potential areas for simplification while maintaining high social standards in EU transport legislation. The EESC’s contribution would ensure that the views of employers, workers, consumers and civil society are reflected early in shaping the simplification agenda while maintaining high social standards. Such an exploratory opinion would offer timely, valuable guidance to support the Commission’s ongoing work.
