Statement on the situation on Israel and Palestine

Lucie Studničná, the Workers' Group President at the EESC,  joins the ETUC  and the ITUC in strongly condemning the attacks on civilians in Israel and Gaza.

We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and call for all acts of violence to end immediately. 

Life-saving supplies  and unimpeded humanitarian access must be allowed into Gaza immediately.

In these tragic times, we are united in calling for dialogue, respect for international law, in particular human rights law, and the full implementation of the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions.
