    Enhancing the resilience and sustainability of the EU economy has become more important than ever in light of the challenges that the EU is currently facing: recovering from the socio-economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, softening the effects of the war in Ukraine on the EU economy, while tackling inflation, the energy crisis and implementing the digital and green transitions.

  • The 7th meeting of the EU Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) under the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (FTA), and the first meeting of the new 2023-25 term, took place on 18 September 2023.

  • The conference will include three exciting round tables on key issues relating to consumer and environmental protection.  A link to the live streaming will be available on this event page.

  • This event aims to follow up on the discussions and outcomes of this year's High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) and prepare for the upcoming SDG Summit of 18-19 September 2023. 

  • Meeting of the EU-Japan and South East Asia Follow-up Committee

    The EESC EU-Japan & South-East Asia Follow-up Committee meets on 12 September 2023 to discuss various aspects of EU-Japan & South-East Asia relations. Main topics on the programme:

    • The EU and South=East Asia
    • Global overview and civil society in South-East Asia
  • The third meeting of the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform (CSP) was held on 12 September 2023 in Brussels.

    During the meeting, a debate focused on assessing the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. The CSP also discussed the state of play of the justice sector reform.

    Other items on the agenda were the impact of industrial development on climate change and promotion of circular economy, and occupational safety.

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, was discussed and adopted.
