The EESC has welcomed the three winners of the 2026 EU Organic Awards in the categories for which it is responsible. Announced in Brussels on EU Organic Day, the awards recognise businesses that are making organic food more accessible, innovative and sustainable.
Bio Bulgaria won the award for best organic food-processing SME, Germany’s Boßhammersch Hof was named best organic food retailer, and Austria’s Zotter Schokolade received the award for best organic restaurant or food service. Their projects demonstrate excellence along the organic value chain, from processing and retail to the consumer experience.
The EESC is a co-organiser of the EU Organic Awards and is responsible for these three categories as part of its work to promote sustainable food systems and raise awareness of organic production. (ks)
