9.15 a.m. – 9:20 a.m.: Opening and scene setting

9:20 a.m. – 10:20 a.m.: Working session 1 - the TSD review into action: what we have done, what we do next

Exchange of the DAG Members with Deputy Director General Maria Martin-Prat, DG Trade and Bernd Lange, Chair of EP Committee on International Trade (INTA).


10:20 a.m. – 11:10 a.m.: Working session 2 - EU autonomous measures and how they interlink with TSD and DAG work

What can we learn from the first implementation experiences with the regulations on CBAM and Deforestation? What are the lessons for the future Due Diligence and Forced Labour legislation, that promise to be even more challenging? With profound implications on environment and labour rights, this session will explore how these measures interlink with TSD implementation and the work of the DAGs.

•    The cases of Deforestation and CBAM regulations: what can we learn in view of the other upcoming measures?

11:10 a.m. – 12:10 a.m.: Parallel breakout sessions – How do we realise the true potential of the DAGs for our common goals?

Each round-table will feature an external discussant and DG Trade representatives to engage in an open and interactive exchange with DAG members. One DAG member will act as the round-table rapporteur and will report the main points back to the plenary, during the closing session.

(The round-tables will be in person only – no interpretation will be provided)

Roundtable 1: Labour and human rights issues in trade agreements: how to deal with challenging counterparts?
