The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions, evaluation and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

Jak powinna wyglądać zrównoważona odbudowa po pandemii COVID-19 w Europie? Jakie są najważniejsze atuty, jakie UE powinna wykorzystać, aby zapewnić swoim obywatelom dobrą przyszłość? Będą to najważniejsze kwestie poruszane w ramach Dni Społeczeństwa Obywatelskiego EKES-u w 2021 r., które odbędą się w internecie w dniach 1–5 marca.
W okresie pandemii zorganizowane społeczeństwo obywatelskie odgrywa decydującą rolę w rozwiązywaniu licznych trudności, które niesie ze sobą pandemia COVID-19, w tym we wspieraniu władz publicznych, przytłoczonych zbyt wieloma problemami.
Ze względu na to bezpośrednie doświadczenie społeczeństwo obywatelskie może wnieść cenne uwagi do debaty na temat odbudowy i bardzo aktualny wkład w konferencję w sprawie przyszłości Europy w momencie, gdy po impasie związanym z jej przewodnictwem oczekiwane jest jej rozpoczęcie w maju.
Dni Społeczeństwa Obywatelskiego 2021 przyniosą ze sobą stymulujące debaty z inspirującymi prelegentami, dotyczące następujących najważniejszych tematów:
