The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions, evaluation and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

Que forma deverá revestir a recuperação sustentável da crise da COVID-19 na Europa? Quais são os principais pontos fortes em que a UE deve apostar para assegurar um futuro promissor para os seus cidadãos? Estas serão as questões centrais das Jornadas da Sociedade Civil 2021 do CESE, que terão lugar em linha, de 1 a 5 de março.
Ao longo da pandemia, a sociedade civil organizada tem desempenhado um papel fundamental na resposta aos inúmeros desafios colocados pela crise da COVID-19, incluindo o apoio aos poderes públicos que lutam para superar enormes dificuldades.
A sua experiência prática poderá enriquecer o debate sobre a recuperação e contribuir de forma oportuna para a Conferência sobre o Futuro da Europa que poderá ter início em maio, agora que foi ultrapassado o impasse relativamente à sua liderança.
