Ag an 51ú cruinniú den Choiste Leantach um na Balcáin Thiar, tarraingíodh aird faoi leith ar réiteach coinbhleachta agus normalú an chaidrimh idir an Chosaiv* agus an tSeirbia. Bhí cainteoirí móra le rá idir oifigigh an Aontais, shaineolaithe ó na Balcáin Thiar, chomh maith le hionadaithe na sochaí sibhialta ó na pobail áitiúla á n-óstáil ag an gcruinniú, a raibh Ionuţ Sibian i gceannas air, agus d’aontaigh gach duine acu gurb é an t-idirphlé arna éascú ag an Aontas an t-aon bhealach amháin chun cinn.
Thug Ionadaí Speisialta an Aontais Eorpaigh don Idirphlé idir Béalgrád agus Pristine agus do shaincheisteanna réigiúnacha eile de chuid na mBalcán Thiar, Miroslav Lajčák forléargas ar an idirphlé arna éascú ag an Aontas agus ar na dúshláin a bhaineann leis, agus chuir sé in iúl gurb oth leis gur ghá an plé a dhíriú arís eile ar réiteach coinbhleachta, seachas bailchríoch a chur ar phróiseas an normalaithe.
Dúirt Marko Prelec ón nGrúpa Géarchéime nach sprioc réalaíoch a bhí i gcomhaontú cuimsitheach idir an Chosaiv agus an tSeirbia faoi láthair, ós rud é go n-áireofaí aitheantas frithpháirteach in aon chomhaontú den sórt sin.
Mheas Leon Hartwell ón Lárionad um Anailís ar Bheartas Eorpach (CEPA) gur beag toil pholaitiúil a bhí ann na 30 comhaontú arna réiteach ag an Aontas idir an Chosaiv agus an tSeirbia atá ann cheana a chur chun feidhme.
Chuir Branislav Staníček ó Sheirbhís Taighde Pharlaimint na hEorpa (EPRS) i bhfáth a thábhachtaí atá an comhar trasatlantach má tá rath le bheith ar an idirphlé normalaithe. Léirigh rannpháirtithe ó eagraíochtaí áitiúla na sochaí sibhialta ó Bhéalgrád, Pristine agus Tuaisceart Mitrovica an tábhacht a bhaineann le dálaí a chruthú chun an deighilt eitneach idir na pobail a dhúnadh.
*Ní dochar an t-ainmniú seo do sheasaimh ar stádas, agus tá sé ag teacht le UNSCR 1244/1999 agus le tuairim CBI maidir le dearbhú neamhspleáchais na Cosaive. (at)
