Chuir an Coimisiún Eorpach a phacáiste reachtach nua do 2021 maidir leis an gcomhrac in aghaidh sciúradh airgid agus maoiniú sceimhlitheoireachta faoi bhráid na gcomhreachtóirí agus Choiste Eacnamaíoch agus Sóisialta na hEorpa.
I dtuairim a glacadh le linn sheisiún iomlánach mhí na Nollag, tacaíonn CESE go hiomlán leis na tograí, ach leagann sé béim freisin ar a phráinní atá sé na bearta sin a chur chun feidhme agus molann sé nithe tábhachtacha le cur leo. Tacaítear go forleathan le cruthú an Údaráis nua um Fhrithsciúradh Airgid. Athdhearbhaíonn an Coiste Eacnamaíoch agus Sóisialta a thogra maidir le Comhshocrú Eorpach chun dul i ngleic le hiompar a dhéanann dochar do phrionsabail eiticiúla agus pholaitiúla na gcóras daonlathais agus a bhaineann an bonn d’earraí poiblí, agus molann sé go gcruthófaí comhlacht comhairleach nua de chuid na sochaí sibhialta sa réimse frithsciúrtha airgid. Ina theannta sin, ní mór an Rialachán maidir le criptea-shócmhainní a chur chun feidhme mar ábhar práinne. Ba cheart don Choimisiún Eorpach freisin iarracht a dhéanamh beart práinneach a dhéanamh maidir le trasuí moillithe agus neamhiomlán na dTreoracha maidir le frithsciúradh airgid a bhí ann roimhe seo i roinnt Ballstát, agus ba cheart bearta sonracha a chur i bhfeidhm chun faireachán a dhéanamh ar chuideachtaí caocha. Ba cheart dó machnamh a dhéanamh freisin ar conas na bearta a leathnú chun bealaí sciúrtha airgid lasmuigh den chóras airgeadais a chumhdach. Ar deireadh, creideann CESE go láidir gur gá liosta nua, réalaíoch, cuimsitheach de thríú tíortha ardriosca a tharraingt suas. (tk)
