AGENDA: Application phase for 16th EESC Civil Society Prize open
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) has officially launched the sixteenth edition of its Civil Society Prize.
The aim of the prize is to reward and encourage initiatives by natural persons, civil society organisations or private companies that have made a significant contribution to promoting the European identity, European values and European integration.
The specific theme of this edition is "Combating poverty in the EU". The prize, which has a total value of EUR 30 000, can be shared among up to three winners. It will reward non-profit initiatives which effectively combat poverty by alleviating the consequences of material deprivation, by improving the economic and social inclusion of people living in poverty and by creating an enabling environment that prevents and protects against poverty.
The deadline for entries is 6 November 2026. The awards ceremony will take place during the EESC Civil Society Week in spring 2027. Detailed information about the prize, as well as the contest rules and the application form, are available on the EESC website.
We warmly invite you to spread the word about the prize!
