"Echt Klasse!" exhibition by Petze-Institut für Gewaltprävention (Institute for the Prevention of Sexual Violence)

Description of the initiative:

The central concern of the Petze Institute is prevention of sexual abuse of children. Apart from families, schools constitute the most important means of information and socialisation for girls and boys. Our intention is to work with teachers and parents to encourage early prevention of sexual abuse and the building of children's core confidence. We give teacher trainings, create teaching materials and advise teachers.

In 2004 we created the interactive exhibition “ECHT KLASSE!”, for secondary schools. At the current time, there are also 8 versions of this exhibition touring in Switzerland and 4 in Mozambique. We also produced ECHT STARK for handicapped pupils, ECHT FAIR against domestic violence and ECHT KRASS against sexual violence between youths.
