European Gender Equality Week 2024

In support of the European Gender Equality Week, an initiative of the European Parliament taking place from 9 to 15 December, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) has actively joined this effort by dedicating the month of November to thematic debates across its sections. These discussions highlight gender equality as a cornerstone of social justice, economic progress, and the well-being of society, aligning with the shared goals of this important initiative.

The EESC emphasises that achieving gender equality is not only a question of fairness but also a crucial factor in fostering economic development and driving social progress. Throughout this mandate, the EESC is intensifying its efforts to integrate gender perspectives into all policy areas and to support the empowerment of women within its own organisation.

Let’s work together to build a more equal Europe!
