Temporary and contract staff

The EESC also employs temporary and contract staff.

They are mainly used for vacant posts which cannot be filled by officials for various reasons. In any event, such contracts are for a limited period.

To be eligible, applicants must be nationals of one of the EU's Member States. They must also have a thorough knowledge of one of the EU's official languages and a satisfactory knowledge of at least one other such language.

Applicants for contract staff posts must be registered in the Recruitment Portal database managed by EPSO and, if selected for the post, have passed the tests (CAST Permanent). For more details, see EPSO’s website.

Applicants are invited to regularly consult our website and the LinkedIn group "Jobs at the EESC" where vacancies for temporary or contract staff contracts are published.
