Mill-Grupp tal-Organizzazzjonijiet tas-Soċjetà Ċivili tal-KESE
Fl-24 ta’ Jannar, is-soċjetà ċivili Ewropea bagħtet ittra miftuħa lill-Presidenti tal-Kummissjoni Ewropea u tal-Parlament Ewropew, u lill-Presidenza Belġjana tal-Kunsill tal-Unjoni Ewropea. Il-firmatarji tal-ittra ħeġġew lit-tliet istituzzjonijiet ewlenin tal-Unjoni Ewropea (UE) involuti fit-teħid ta’ deċiżjonijiet tal-UE biex jieħdu miżuri konkreti favur l-implimentazzjoni ta’ djalogu miftuħ, trasparenti u regolari mal-organizzazzjonijiet tas-soċjetà ċivili, kif stabbilit fl-Artikolu 11 tat-Trattat dwar l-Unjoni Ewropea, fl-oqsma kollha ta’ politika.
L-ittra miftuħa kienet proposta mill-Grupp tal-Organizzazzjonijiet tas-Soċjetà Ċivili tal-KESE u Civil Society Europe, u tinkludi proposti speċifiċi għall-implimentazzjoni. L-ittra kisbet l-appoġġ ta’ 156 firmatarju minn 26 Stat Membru. Il-firmatarji inkludew 39 network Ewropew, 85 organizzazzjoni nazzjonali u 60 membru tal-Grupp tal-Organizzazzjonijiet tas-Soċjetà Ċivili tal-KESE.
Id-djalogu ċivili għadu frammentat u mhux strutturat fl-istituzzjonijiet kollha tal-UE, minkejja d-dispożizzjonijiet legali. Huwa għalhekk li l-firmatarji tal-ittra miftuħa #EUCivilDialogueNow qed jitolbu lill-istituzzjonijiet tal-UE biex:
Dawn l-isforzi jridu jibnu fuq ir-rakkomandazzjonijiet tal-Konferenza dwar il-Futur tal-Ewropa. Bħala l-ewwel pass, il-firmatarji ssuġġerew Komunikazzjoni tal-Kummissjoni Ewropea dwar it-tisħiħ tad-djalogu ċivili fil-livell tal-UE.
