EESC Employers' Group President and new members confirmed for the next term of office
22 October 2025 – As part of the European Economic and Social Committee's (EESC) renewal of its membership, Mrs Sandra Parthie has officially taken office as the new President of the EESC Employers' Group for the first half of the 2025-2030 term of office.
In a period marked by economic uncertainty, Mrs Parthie brings a clear sense of direction to her role: Europe's long-term prosperity relies on reinforcing its competitiveness.
"Competitiveness is not a slogan but a strategy," she underlined. "I believe in pragmatic I action and a healthy dose of optimism. Our companies and entrepreneurs are the driving force of Europe's prosperity –not the problem, but the solution. As President of the Employers' Group, I will ensure the voice of businesses is heard clearly at the European level."
Other key appointments in the Employers' Group include:
- Alena Mastantuono as EESC Vice-President for Budget;
- Marcin Nowacki as President of the Transport, Energy, Infrastructure and the Information Society (TEN) section;
- Emilie Prouzet as President of the Single Market, Production and Consumption (INT) section.
In total, 47 new members were appointed, while 60 were reconfirmed from the previous mandate.

Composed of representatives from business and employers’ organisations across Europe, the Employers’ Group plays a vital role in driving competitiveness, sustainable growth, and job creation within the EU.
These new elections mark an important milestone for the Group, an opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to building a stronger, more innovative, and business-friendly Europe.
The renewal process ushers in fresh perspectives and renewed energy for the EESC Employers’ Group's mission to foster dialogue between EU institutions and the business community, and to ensure that the voice of European employers continues to shape policymaking at the highest level.
