Ten years after the Paris Agreement: Raising the collective climate ambition as a driver for sustainable prosperity and a just transition

Global ambition for ecological and climate transition is showing signs of stagnation. Greenhouse gas emissions keep rising while the consequences of global warming disproportionately affect vulnerable citizens and communities around the globe. This side event aims to foster high-level dialogue on raising climate ambition, mobilising climate finance, and implementing the Global Stocktake. Key challenges include phasing out fossil fuel subsidies, enhancing adaptation at all levels, and ensuring a just transition. The event will feature EU policymakers, business, trade union, and civil society representatives, focusing on designing ambitious, inclusive climate policies.
