Flagship initiative "New Skills and Jobs" – Going local event - Stockholm, 13 Dec 2011

On the 13 December 2011, the conference ‘A labour market for all: efficient and innovative assistance to job seekers’  took place in Europahuset in Stockholm, as a follow-up of the EU 2020 flagship initiative "New Skills and Jobs". The conference organized by the Labour Market Observatory (LMO) of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) looked at how assistance to job seekers can be improved, and it was structured in three thematic sessions:

  • "The Swedish model for providing aid to job seekers";
  • "Other national examples of providing aid to job seekers";
  • "How can we develop assistance to job seekers from groups facing specific difficulties?".

 

Among the speakers was the State Secretary to the Swedish Minister for Employment, the President of the EESC and the President of the Confederation of Swedish Trade Unions (LO).
