2nd Meeting of the EU-Albania Joint Consultative Committee

The second meeting of the EU–Albania Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) took place on 21 November 2025 at the EESC in Brussels.

This platform, established under the institutional framework of the EU–Albania Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), provides an opportunity for representatives of EU and Albanian civil society to monitor Albania’s accession negotiations, exchange views on matters of mutual interest, and raise concerns to be addressed on Albania’s path towards EU membership.

Key topics for discussion at the inaugural meeting of the EU–Albania JCC included:

  • Current state of play in EU-Albania relations: 2025 Enlargement Package and Albania Report
  • Reform Agenda (RA) for Albania and the implementation of the Growth plan for the Western Balkans
  • Cluster 1: The Fundamentals of the Accession Process: fulfilment of interim benchmarks
  • Overview of the civil society situation in Albania, including social dialogue
