Ní mór don Aontas géarchéim COVID-19 a shárú trí shamhail nua a chruthú don tsochaí bunaithe ar gheilleagair atá níos glaise, níos cothroime agus níos athléimní. Ós fuinneamh glan í, is féidir le hidrigin a bheith ina mórspreagadh don chlaochlú. Is é sin an príomhsmaoineamh a chuirtear chun tosaigh sa tuairim ó Pierre Jean Coulon a glacadh ag seisiún iomlánach CESE i mí Eanáir.
Sa tuairim sin, thug CESE a thacaíocht do Straitéis Hidrigine an Aontais a chuir an Coimisiún Eorpach chun cinn agus measann sé gur céim chun cinn atá inti chun timpeallacht fabhrach a chruthú d’fhonn soláthar agus éileamh hidrigine a mhéadú agus geilleagar atá neodrach ó thaobh carbóin de a bhaint amach.
“Ní mór hidrigin ghlan a bheith ina tosaíocht shoiléir de bhrí gurb í an t-aon rogha atá comhoiriúnach don aeráidneodracht,” a dúirt Pierre Jean Coulon le linn na díospóireachta iomlánaí. “A bhuí leis an gciste téarnaimh Eorpach, ní mór gnólachtaí, nuálaithe, oibrithe agus infheisteoirí a chumasú chun gur féidir leo a ról mar cheannairí domhanda a dhearbhú sna margaí fuinnimh ghlain atá ag fás.”
Go háirithe, tacaíonn CESE le bunú na Comhghuaillíochta Eorpaí don Hidrigin Ghlan, a mbeidh sé de chúram uirthi infheistíochtaí sa táirgeacht a phleanáil agus an t-éileamh don hidrigin ghlan san Aontas a eagrú.
Is iad ceannairí tionscail, gníomhaithe na sochaí sibhialta, airí náisiúnta, airí réigiúnacha agus an Banc Eorpach Infheistíochta a bheidh rannpháirteach sa chomhlacht sin. Ó tharla go mbeidh ról lárnach aige maidir le dlús a chur le claochlú thionscail na hEorpa, is den riachtanas é go mbeidh CESE rannpháirteach ann freisin ina cháil mar ionadaí na sochaí sibhialta eagraithe.
