10th Meeting of the EU-Brazil Civil Society Round Table

The 10th Meeting of the EU-Brazil Civil Society Round Table will take place in Brussels on 25-26 February 2026. Hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee, the dialogue will be co-chaired by the EESC President, Mr Séamus Boland and Mr Olavo Noleto, Executive Secretary of the CDESS.


This year's agenda will focus on key shared priorities for the EU and Brazil, structured around four central themes:

  1. Democracy, Human Rights, and Global Governance

    - Safeguarding Democracy: Civil Society’s role in a shifting global order

  2. Trade and Economy – EU-Mercosur Partnership Agreement

    - Enabling sustainable prosperity: The EU-Mercosur Partnership and economic transformation

  3. Social and Labour issues

    - Empowering People: Social inclusion and the future of work

  4. Sustainability and Climate Action

    - Accelerating the Green Transition: Lessons from COP30

The meeting will bring together civil society representatives from both regions to advance dialogue, strengthen cooperation, and identify practical avenues for joint action.
