Tá CESE tar éis a sheasamh i leith thosaíochtaí eacnamaíocha an Aontais do 2021 a ghlacadh. Is díol sásaimh dó na céimeanna a glacadh sa straitéis chun aghaidh a thabhairt ar na dúshláin a bhaineann le paindéim COVID-19 i gcomhthéacs an Chomhaontaithe Ghlais don Eoraip, ach tá díomá air nach dtugann an straitéis a mhol an Coimisiún Eorpach go leor airde ar shaincheisteanna sóisialta. Chomh maith leis sin, tugann CESE rabhadh faoi dheireadh ró-luath a chur de réir a chéile le bearta tacaíochta, agus molann sé rialacha fioscacha nua a bhunú a léireoidh réaltachtaí sóisialta agus eacnamaíocha tar éis na paindéime.
Tá díomá ar an gCoiste gur beag aird a thugtar ar shaincheisteanna sóisialta sa straitéis eacnamaíoch atá molta ag an gCoimisiún, straitéis a bhfuil comhlánú déanta uirthi i mbliana le treoir faoi chur chun feidhme na Saoráide Téarnaimh agus Athléimneachta. Ar thaobh amháin, ní fhágfaidh an cur chuige seo go gcuirfear Colún Eorpach na gCeart Sóisialta chun feidhme ar bhealach comhsheasmhach. Ar an taobh eile, cuirfidh sé an t-aistriú cóir i dtreo geilleagar glas agus digiteach i mbaol. Thug CESE le fios nár cheart méadú breise a theacht ar an mbochtaineacht agus ar an eisiamh sóisialta mar thoradh ar an aistriú.
Tá an imní seo le sonrú i gceann de na conclúidí a ghlac CESE an 24 Feabhra ina thuairim maidir le Straitéis Bhliantúil 2021 don Fhás Inbhuanaithe.
Dúirt Krzysztof Balon, rapóirtéir na tuairime, go mbeidh “sé ríthábhachtach a áirithiú go ndáilfear tairbhí an téarnaimh eacnamaíoch ar bhealach cothrom, is é sin ar bhealach a chuideoidh ní hamháin le feabhas a chur ar an gceartas sóisialta ach freisin leis an éileamh a chobhsú mar réamhchoinníoll don téarnamh eacnamaíoch”.
