Conference on "EU-Ukraine Transport and Energy Integration: from Connectivity to Resilience"

The European Economic and Social Committee is organising a high-level conference bringing together European and Ukrainian policymakers, public authorities, social partners, industry representatives and civil society to discuss the future of EU–Ukraine integration in the strategic sectors of transport and energy.

Against the backdrop of Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction, the event will explore how stronger connectivity, resilient infrastructure and regulatory convergence can contribute both to Ukraine’s EU integration process and to the European Union’s broader strategic autonomy and security.

Through two dedicated roundtables, participants will examine key opportunities and challenges related to cross-border transport integration, infrastructure modernisation, market interoperability and energy resilience.

The first roundtable "From Solidarity Lanes to TEN-T Corridors: Advancing EU–Ukraine Road and Rail Connectivity" will focus on the integration of Ukraine’s transport markets with the European Union, addressing infrastructure gaps, regulatory alignment, interoperability and sustainable mobility.

The second roundtable "Strengthening EU–Ukraine Energy Security: Opportunities and Challenges" will explore how the EU and Ukraine can reinforce energy security through resilient infrastructure, integrated energy markets, enhanced regional cooperation and strategic investments.

The conference aims to foster dialogue on practical pathways towards a more connected, resilient and integrated European future.
