Circular economy strategies have been under development in European cities, regions, and countries in the last few years. In recent years, the EESC has produced a substantial number of opinions concerning the fast development of information and digital technologies showing how involved organised civil society is in this "revolution". We firmly believe that the digital revolution needs to benefit and include all people, especially vulnerable people, while striving to eliminate existing digital divides and prevent further disparities emerging in this area.

This document is the political declaration of the Employers' Group before the European elections. The declaration calls for an open economy – with open markets and fair competition. An open economy must be accompanied by an open society that relies on dialogue and good governance. The EESC will host the photography exhibition "Romanian landscapes of my heart" featuring the work of the well-known Romanian photographer, Sorin Onisor.
Often called "the Romanian village photographer", he inspires many young people and his photographs of Romanian landscapes and countryside life are highly appreciated.
The exhibition will be displayed at the EESC from 23 April until 26 May 2019, in the context of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
