2021-11-16 to 17 - The Roma - Mission report from virtual country visit to Romania

The Ministry of European Funds coordinates the national Roma integration strategy in Romania.  Romania is the country with the biggest Roma population in the European Union. Discrimination and antigypsyism remain key challenges, impinging on housing and employment prospects. The importance of data for the formulation of policies which matched the needs of the Roma community was underlined, as well as the need for more policies which strengthened and supported Roma women and girls' rights.  The country visit took place virtually from 16 to 17 November.
