Fitting-out, renovation, finishing and construction work in the buildings of the Committee of the Regions and the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels

Subject of the contract :
The Committees intend to conclude a framework works contract for the following services, taking into account the Committees’ environmental objectives.

The work envisaged covers, but is not limited to:

  • Coordination of work on the various constituent chapters of the technical specifications;
  • Site installation including site demarcation, support rooms, means of evacuation, etc.;
  • Joinery involving the refurbishment and renovation of existing ones, the supply and installation of doors, partitioning reinforcements, bulkheads, plinths, etc.;
  • Interior structures including, but not limited to plasterboard partitions, bays to be constructed, solid and glazed modular partitions, inspection hatches, ceilings of all types (plasterboard, mineral slabs, acoustic slabs, fixed and tilting metal tiles), acoustic pipes, wall coverings such as coatings, paints, means of solar protection such as roller blinds, horizontal and vertical strips, cimaises, raised floors with wood or silicate slabs;
  • Surface coatings such as wall coatings, PVC, inwovens, paints and varnishes on the various media;
  • Floor coverings and ceilings such as egaline, screeds, slab mat, PVC in strips or lacquers, accessories such as door interdoors, paints and varnishes, markings on industrial floors, etc.;
  • Signage including, inter alia, pictograms, situational plans;
  • Carcass work such as screeds, masonry made of concrete or plaster blocks, grey tiles of different floor and wall formats, internal sealing, etc.;
  • Cleaning of façades and roofs;
  • Maintenance of equipment (interior and exterior blinds, signs, name-bearing marks);
  • All other work in these areas which is necessary for the implementation of the Committees’ buildings strategy;
  • Special work;

The contractor must undertake to comply with the Committees’ environmental policy.

With regard to the main environmental objectives, the Committees will promote the choice of materials that have positive environmental parameters, such as materials with eco-labels and/or “cradle to cradle” certification in the field of the circular economy. In addition, an environmental charter will be included in the procurement documents relating to the environmental management applicable by companies on the Committees’ sites.
