Cybersecurity Act
Background
The initiative concerns the revision of the Cybersecurity Act in order to clarify the mandate of the EU Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and to strengthen the European Cybersecurity Certification Framework, thereby improving overall resilience. It also seeks to streamline, simplify and complement existing EU legislation to make the implementation of the EU cybersecurity framework more user- and business-friendly. In addition, the initiative prioritises measures that support the EU’s objectives of developing a secure and resilient supply chain, including strengthening the EU’s cybersecurity industrial base.
