The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions, evaluation and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

The EESC has six sections, specialising in concrete topics of relevance to the citizens of the European Union, ranging from social to economic affairs, energy, environment, external relations or the internal market.

Partnerske dogodke bo mogoče prijaviti med 4. in 17. marcem, potekali pa bodo med 29. majem in 1. septembrom.
Zeleni teden EU vsako leto spremlja več sto partnerskih dogodkov po vsej Evropi in zunaj nje, ki jih organizirajo različne institucije, nevladne organizacije, predstavniki podjetij, univerze, šole, lokalne, regionalne in nacionalne uprave ter številni drugi.
Tema partnerskih dogodkov leta 2024 bo odpornost v zvezi z vodo. Njihov namen je spodbuditi vseevropski pogovor o sedanjosti in prihodnosti vode v EU, poudarek pa bo na ozaveščanju in promociji pozitivnih skupnih rešitev.
Mogoči so raznovrstni dogodki, od delavnic in javnih razprav do razstav in dogodkov za ozaveščanje, namenjenih družinam. Dejavnosti lahko potekajo na lokalni, regionalni, nacionalni ali evropski ravni. Več informacij in časovni okvir lahko najdete tukaj.
Ker je modri dogovor EU ena od vodilnih pobud EESO, bi bil izbor te teme za partnerske dogodke dobra priložnost za obveščanje o predlogih, ki so bili predstavljeni oktobra 2023 v izjavi o modrem dogovoru EU. Ta poziva k novi in ambiciozni strategiji za vodo za Evropo, ki bi bila primerljiva z evropskim zelenim dogovorom. (gb)
