In the coming months, the Belgian Presidency will have a crucial role to play at Europe’s helm. The European Economic and Social Committee will work closely with the Belgian Presidency to build a stronger, more resilient, and more democratic Europe.
The External Relations Section (REX) of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is responsible for dialogue between European civil society organisations and their homologues from the countries with which the European Union has formal relations (e.g. under the form of a Free Trade Agreement). Through this dialogue, made possible by a series of bilateral bodies, and through specialized opinions and information reports, the Committee is able to concretely contribute to EU foreign policy.
The European Economic and Social Committee calls on the European institutions to consider water as a priority and to adopt an EU Blue Deal as a standalone strategic policy, on an equal footing with the EU Green Deal.
This new edition of the European Cycling Lexicon was prepared by the EESC's Section for Transport, Energy, Infrastructure and the Information Society (TEN) in collaboration with the European Cyclists' Federation to respond to the strong demand from citizens, organisations and public authorities.
