2nd meeting of the EU-Chile Joint Consultative Committee

On 8 November 2017, the second meeting of the EU-Chile Civil Society Joint Consultative Committee (JCC), established by the EU-Chile Association Agreement was held in Brussels. The members discussed topics of interest for both parties, such as the role of civil society in the modernisation of the Association Agreement and the Sustainable Development Agenda and adopted a Final Declaration.

The JCC is made up of eighteen members, nine from the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and nine from Chilean civil society organisations. It is co-chaired by Lidija Pavic-Rogošic, EESC member, and Abraham Armijo Cáceres, Vice-president of Central Autónoma de Trabajadores of Chile.
